The most extreme competition of the year and the first one of the season. Riva di Tures is one of the coldest spots of Italy: in January the daily exposure to the sun never exceeds 60 minutes and it can reach temperatures of -20° c. Climatic conditions make it very complicated to stabilize the smokers and are able to completly subvert the values on the field. The competition area is at the start of a cross-country ski, snow is the queen and arranging the team area is possible only by moving the equipment on wooden planks, using them as sleds. GC holders are the Southern Dutch Barbecue Team and RGC the italians Brig Boys, two teams who there after played a great season, confirming the West as auspicious race.
